Tough Semester

The after-smell of the perfume I used today reminds me of my mother. Sweet, sour, but familiar. It makes me miss home. Honestly, it is going to be a tough semester. I just wish my mother is here with me, telling me everything's going to be alright. My first tutorial in "Faith and Religion" was a disaster. I am, personally, religious. And the hardest thing is knowing that you're the only Christian in class with an atheist tutor, who was ironically once a Christian. Christians are always persecuted, whether subtly or directly and this is because Christianity is an offensive religion. But that's besides the point, its just knowing that you are the only one that gets sardonic questions when your classmates do not. The tutorial was difficult. I came back upset, sobbed and skyped my mother.

While I'm thankful for technology, I just wish I'm back in my mother's room, snuggling up to her, or in the kitchen watching her cook. Even better, listening to her talk when she's with the Church Aunties. (Its always so insightful listening to mature women of faith speak) Mothers make everything go away. She misses me. That I know. But just like she has faith in Christ in leading me and guiding me, I have faith in God too.

Tough semester...

hey mel, stay strong!

read 2 corinthians 4...
a short quote:
verse 8 - We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Therefore, do not lose heart! (like it says in verse 16) maybe you're put in that particular tutorial class for a reason. pray about it!

Take care, will be praying for you =)
